My name is Cassie Champagne and I am a minty-fresh full stack web developer. I live near the great city of Atlanta with my husband, dog, and two ferrets. When I manage to pull myself away from my computer, I am usually hiking with my dog, baking, or eating way too many of the sweet treats I've made (that's okay, just means more hiking for me!). I also love playing video games and recently have been spending a lot of time terraforming my island in Animal Crossing New Horizons (if you play, please let me know who your favorite villager is). My favorite movie is The Princess Bride and my favorite book is null because it's impossible to choose just one. But I love a good mystery and anything with a plot twist.
I'm someone who is constantly learning. At school, I was always the girl with her nose in a book. At home, I argued with my brothers over the family computer. I spent hours online exploring a world that was seemingly never-ending. Like many children, I often changed my answer to "What do you want to be when you grow up?". My answers always came from people I saw in my daily life: veterinarian, doctor, teacher. Despite my love for technology, I never considered a career in it mainly because I didn't know what a software engineer or web developer looked like. Now that everyday life and technology are virtually inseparable, I found myself struggling with some feelings of regret. Technology has always held a special place in my life and I realized that I would always continue wondering "What if..." if I didn't take the chance to turn my technological skills into my dream career. My experiences so far have only shown me that I have made the right choice.
Here are some nice things people have said about me and my work.
I'm currently open to new opportunites! Please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to chat about my work or learn more about what I can offer you.
